The Evolution of Trust is an interactive game created by Nicky Case, released in July 2017. It invites you to explore trust dynamics through a simple coin-collecting mechanic. You and an AI-controlled player decide to cooperate or steal coins placed into a machine. When both cooperate, new coins are generated and added to both banks. If one steals, that player takes coins from the other. If both steal, they take from each other, causing losses. The game challenges you to consider whether you truly trust one another. To play The Evolution of Trust, use your left mouse button to make choices. You are presented with rounds where you and an AI opponent decide to cooperate or steal. The game provides clear feedback on each round, showing how your choices affect both players' banks.
